OSKIA Super-C — A Stabilised Vitamin C Serum Oil That Delivers Cellular-Level Radiance in a Single Capsule
Vitamin C is one of skincare's most celebrated actives — and one of its most compromised, degrading rapidly on exposure to air and light and tipping into pro-oxidant territory at high doses. OSKIA resolves this tension with a precision-dosed, single-use capsule containing a 2% encapsulated oil-soluble Vitamin C ester, stabilised by Tocotrienols (a clinically superior form of Vitamin E) and supported by plant-derived Squalane and Tomato Lycopene. The serum oil absorbs seamlessly into skin, leaving a luminous, nourished finish without grease or residue. The result is a daily ritual of quiet confidence — protected, even, and visibly radiant skin delivered in one perfectly preserved drop.
| Ingredient | INCI Name | Concentration | Function | Skin Benefit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Encapsulated Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate | Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate | High | Antioxidant / Brightening Agent | Stable oil-soluble Vitamin C ester; penetrates lipid bilayer to cellular level; promotes even tone and luminosity at a safe 2% dose |
| Tocotrienols (Smart Vitamin E) | Tocotrienol (from annatto or rice bran) | Mid | Antioxidant / Anti-inflammatory | Superior antioxidant potency vs tocopherols; neutralises free radicals; reduces oxidative stress and inflammation; stabilises Vitamin C in formulation |
| Tomato Lycopene | Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract / Lycopene | Mid | Antioxidant / Photoprotectant | Scavenges singlet oxygen and environmental free radicals; supports skin against UV-induced oxidative damage; anti-inflammatory |
| Squalane | Squalane | High | Emollient / Barrier Restorer | Plant-derived saturated lipid; mimics skin's natural sebum; reinforces the lipid barrier, balances sebum production, improves hydration and texture |
| Jojoba Seed Oil | Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil | Mid | Emollient / Phytosterol Delivery | Rich in Omega-6 and phytosterols; deeply nourishes, softens and supports skin barrier integrity |
| Sweet Almond Oil | Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil | Mid | Emollient / Nourishing Agent | High in Omega-9 (oleic acid) and Omega-6 (linoleic acid); conditions and smooths skin; supports lipid matrix replenishment |
Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, an oil-soluble Vitamin C ester, bypasses the stability and penetration limitations of traditional L-ascorbic acid by integrating directly into the skin's lipid architecture, converting to active ascorbic acid intracellularly to inhibit melanin synthesis and upregulate collagen type I production. At 2%, it remains below the threshold at which Vitamin C risks becoming pro-oxidant, while Tocotrienols — demonstrably more potent than conventional Tocopherols in neutralising peroxyl
- TOCOTRIENOLS Q & A
- Why is Vitamin C & E often combined?
- The combination of Vitamin C & E has been used primarily as the anti-oxidant activity of Vitamin E helps preserve the integrity and stability of notoriously unstable Vitamin C derivatives. Vitamin C is a very unstable molecule and undergoes rapid oxidation (almost half of it gets degraded within 30 minutes). It can be stabilised to some degree by keeping it at low pH (below 3.5) and by adding other antioxidants to the formula (Vitamin E & Ferulic acid are the most popular). Because we use a stable form of Vitamin C, our anti-oxidants within our formulas are able to protect skin cells rather than stabilise Vitamin C.
- Why is Tocotrienols so superior to Tocopherol?
- OSKIA’s new Super C Beauty Capsules uses a superior form of Vitamin C that is stable (helped by the single dose capsules which protect the Vitamin C further), therefore leaving other anti-oxidants in the formula to work on protecting the skin itself rather than stabilising the Vitamin C. In addition to this, we have chosen to work with a much more powerful, superior and more unusual form of Vitamin E - Tocotrienols. (There are eight types of Vitamin E - four types of Tocotrienols and four types of Tocopherols). If you imagine traditional Tocopherols to have two arms to capture rogue free-radicals, Tocotrienols have three - making them 40-60% more powerful an anti-oxidant than traditional Vitamin E and the most important lipid-soluble chain-breaking antioxidant for cell membranes. Tocotrienols, unlike Tocopherols, are also highly anti-inflammatory so ideal for many skin conditions and as well as aiding healing. The polyunsaturated side chain of tocotrienols also allows tocotrienols to penetrate more efficiently into cell membranes compared to tocopherols providing superior nourishment and efficacy.
- Twist off the capsule neck to release the Super-C serum oil. Apply daily to clean skin morning or night, or as desired. Use on its own or as part of your skincare routine.
- Those seeking a potent single-dose Vitamin C capsule using stable Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate to brighten and neutralise free radical damage
- Anyone wanting Tocotrienol Vitamin E — 40–60% more powerful than conventional Tocopherol — to maximise antioxidant protection
- All skin types looking for a concentrated antioxidant boost in an oxidation-proof, single-use capsule format
